Should Drugs be Treated like Medicine?

“Poison is in everything, and no thing is without poison. The dosage makes it either a poison or a remedy.” Paracelsus said that and, in doing so, captured the just of this argument. Drugs are dangerous in the sense that they cause a lot of damage and harm. Society’s experiment with drug use needs to end. The key is to treat drugs like medicine, and only use them when 1)they prove beneficial, 2) as prescribed or instructed and 3) not recreationally.

Drugs are poison! A lot of people may be put off by what seems to be an exagerative claim. Scare tactics have proven to have an opposite effect, rather than achieving widespread abstinence. It is important to note that while drugs might have a beneficial, if not medicinal, use in some cases, they are taken wrongly and in hazardous ways. Knowing things, like the correct side and not mixing drugs together, could be the difference between a healthy a diseasd person.

The dose used of a drug is very significant. The dose one uses could be the difference between life-betterment and fatality. That is why drugs should be used like medicine. They should only be prescribed or, in some cases, offered over thr counter. Users should take drugs at prescribed or instructed doses.

How Climbing the Ladder to Success is the Fun Part

I tell myself that it is all about the climb, that is the climb up the ladder to success. Gary Vaynerchuk said that he loves the climb so much that he wants to move to China where no one knows him and start all over again. That should give cause to pause and to contemplate how it is a good practice to be grateful, wherever you are on your journey to success. Being there, at the finishing post, is all well and good. However, the climb is the fun part.

First of all, what do I mean by the climb? All the time before you become successful, especially the hours you put in to gain that success, is what is referred to as the climb. It’s your journey to being the financially independent, groundbreaking and innovative version of yourself. You’re still you, but you have reaped your rewards by then. If that is all the climb is, then why is what I’m saying so controversial?

A lot of people focus on the end result. “I have to get a million followers. I have to get a billion dollars. I have to make X amount of sales.” This is the train of thought a lot of people take. Don’t get warped up into this, though. When you do gain that success (and I hope you will), it is the hard work you put in that you will enjoy the most. Don’t trust me, then why did Arthur Ashe say the following:

It’s the journey that matters, people. Don’t ever forget it! You’re already successful. By putting in the hours, you are doing yourself, your loved ones and this world at large a great service. Keep on being you and the rest will follow.

How to Grow a Following

I want to start off with a disclaimer. I don’t have millions of followers. Heck, I haven’t cracked a thousand. That does not mean I don’t know the secret too getting loads of followers. Coming from internet royalty, the secret to blogging or online success is to work hard, post quality work and to persevere.

First of all, you don’t grow a big audience overnight. Just like natural growth, it happens gradually. That is why you need to work hard to ensure that it does happen, eventually. Sure, you can gain more followers at times. People have growth spurts, but that does not mean they will grow a meter a day.

For that same reason, you should try to persevere. The beginning might be hard, but the rewards are sweet. Just imagine you sharing your thoughts and ideas to thousands, if not millions, of people. Won’t that be worth it? Hang in there, and you just might blow up.

Finally, make sure to focus on the quality of your blog posts. Frequency is great, but people are drawn to great ideas and topics. You should find your writing voice, if you’re blogging. If you start a vlog, then be prepared to work on your speaking. I’m sure you all have quality work in you.

To sum up, hard work, post quality and perserverance are the keys to blog success. You don’t grow completely overnight, just as you don’t fully grow physically in a day. With that being said, you should perservere. Hang in there, and post quality work. The rewards are worth it.
